ICPC participants and guests can request an official invitation through the simplified procedure and are exempt from paying the visa fee if they are submitting documents for a visa through the departments of Russian Embassies and General Consulates.
To get an official ICPC and Host visa invitation:
- open the ICPC Dashboard;
- go to your ICPC Profile;
- select Passport & Visa;
- enter all the necessary information. You will not be able to travel on an ICPC visa (purpose of entry: scientific and technical communications), as it violates the legislation of the Russian Federation, the purpose of the trip must correspond to the purpose of entry.
- Once you’ve completed the Passport & Visa section, the electronic version of the Host invitation will be posted on your ICPC Dashboard page for a month.
- Your ICPC Dashboard contains the PDF of your ICPC Invitation and Host Invitation. If the consulate requires the original ICPC invitation, please email email@example.com with the subject “Original ICPC/Host invitation” and attach the PDF of your invitation. Please provide your name and exact postal address (including contact phone number) to which you want the invitation to be sent as well as the location where you will apply for your visa (e.g. the Russian Consulate in Paris).
Note: You may be asked to submit additional documents. Please check the website of the relevant Russian consulate.
The full package of documents should be submitted to the Consular Departments of Russian Embassies, General Consulates or official visa centers. We do not recommend applying for a visa via intermediary organizations or travel agencies.
